Solemn Novena formed in Belfast, N.Ireland in early 2006, with a mission of creating guitar orientated Gothic Rock, no techno bleepy influences or metal posturing for these guys, oh no. This had to be straight down the middle goth, just like the 90s had never happened...or this century either...

  • PLAGUE TOWN

    We’re extremely proud to announce that our track ‘ALONE’ from our ep ‘AS DARKNESS FALLS’ features in the new horror film ‘PLAGUE TOWN’!

    We were contacted by the director earlier in the year, contracts were signed, and now to film is close to being released. The song appears during the end credits with the likes of LADYTRON and CLAUDIO GIZZI.

    "one of the very few memorable horror flicks of the year, with daring forays into areas fright films generally fear to tread"

  • Faerytale - Video

    We've posted a video for our song Faerytale, so go check it out! The footage (taken by Gig Monkey) is from the Berlin gig back in March, and the track is a rough demo version we recorded in preparation for recording the new EP.

    Brough a bit of belfast over there lst year myself, and they loved us. a manager of a mcdonalds there when he learnt from where we were from started cursing like a belfastian, serving us. unprofessional but hilarious :D
